How often does a Dubai car need AC regassing?
Most vehicles need regassing every 2–3 years under normal use. Dubai's AC systems work longer and harder than in cooler countries, so leaks develop faster. We recommend an annual check and regas when needed rather than waiting for the AC to fail.
What type of refrigerant do you use?
We use R134a for older vehicles and R1234yf for newer models (typically 2015 and newer). We confirm which your vehicle requires before starting and always use the manufacturer-specified refrigerant.
Why does my AC smell bad?
A musty smell usually means bacteria and mould have built up in the evaporator and cabin filter. We replace the cabin filter and treat the evaporator with an antibacterial spray as part of our AC service. This eliminates the smell at source.
Can you fix an AC that doesn't work at all?
Yes, in most cases. We start with a full diagnosis — if it's a refrigerant loss, a failed compressor, or a broken blend door, we'll tell you exactly what it is and quote you before starting any work. Some complex repairs may require a specialist workshop for compressor replacement.
What is the best time of year to service my AC in Dubai?
April or early May, before peak summer heat. At that point the AC has had a winter break and you can catch any developing issues before they become critical in June–September. Bookings are also easier to get than mid-summer when everyone's AC is failing at once.
